I wanted to share a couple of ideas on writing, because writing can be really difficult. Having some strategies ready to use can help you get un-stuck and finish whatever you want or need to write.

(I re-wrote these two sentences at least 10 times. Funny how simple things are actually difficult.)

Here are some approaches I'm using:

  • Just write. I can get really stuck at a specific sentence. A way to work around this is: just continue with what you want to say. Don't worry about the flow or if you get your story right, just get your words out of your head and put them on paper.
  • Start with bullets. If you don't know where to begin, start by making a list of things you want to tell. Reordering your different talking points is really easy, and after that you can just connect them with words.
  • Read out loud. You can do this when you think you're done, or when you feel stuck: if it sounds natural when you say it, the flow is probably good.
