Group pomodoro
Never heard this idea before, but someone shared it last week and I found it a really interesting idea: doing pomodoro in a group.
The idea is that the timer you’re using as an individual runs for the complete group. During the “work” blocks, no one is allowed to talk to each other or disturb. You use the break blocks to ask each other questions. In this way, the team pomodoro is essentially a mini-sprint, with built in blocks of time to communicate.
I haven’t tried this and I do see the downsides of it (because communication is essentially blocked), but it could also be really effective. I’m definitely adding this one to my list of things to try with a team if I have the chance.
