Fast decisions are better than slow ones
Let’s start with the exception: there are always cases where it is good to take more time to think. As long as this is a conscious choice, that’s perfectly fine.
Let’s dive in.
We generally don’t like risks. Making a decision always contains risk in some kind of way: the risk to pick the wrong option, the risk to dismiss great things and forgetting them, et cetera. So we postpone our decisions.
If we want to speed up (and who doesn’t want that? – speed is a feature), we need to focus on making better decisions, faster. This gives clarity, frees up headspace and it builds momentum.
One of the best things to keep in mind: there are only a very few things that cannot be undone later. What decisions are you putting off?
