It is your job to lead
You are probably the go to person for more than one person in your team. When you’re in a leadership position, even more people will come to you with questions, ideas and the occasional complaint.
As a professional, I believe you’ll be able to make the biggest impact when you’re radiating with positivity. It is often the more difficult thing to do: respond with energy and positivity when someone shares an idea that does not resonate with you. Put your ego aside, react with questions and listen attentively when someone comes up to you with a piece of harsh feedback.
As a manager, it is easy to describe the guys and girls you work with as stupid because they did not execute well enough, failed to communicate or think trough some task. Snap out of it. It is your job to build a relationship. It is your job to communicate better. It is your job to lead.
