Spread motivation
It is easy to criticise what someone is doing. It is also really easy to “share your perspective” because you think something could be improved or because you disagree. Think about the effect of comments like that: of course, it could motivate you to do more, but quite often it has the opposite effect.
Remember the moments where someone was really excited about something you did, for no specific reason. It made you feel like you could take on anything.
Let me give you a challenge for today: instead of sharing your vision or giving your unsolicited feedback, try to spread your motivation. It can be a co-worker with a cool project, a fellow student who can use a powerful “you can totally do it” or a family member with a new job coming up.
