Yesterday, I had the privilege to speak at Webdagene (an awesome conference in Norway). I talked about building better ways of doing signup and onboarding. If you’re interested, you can skimm over it here:

My point: enjoy the things you accomplished by working really hard. I wrote something related before in a post titled The Compound Effect: the choices you make on a daily basis together can build towards really big things. At the same time, and I’ll be honest about that, you sometimes need a little luck as well. However, you can’t create luck and I don’t think you should focus on that. Focus on doing the things that matter and help you get closer to your goal.

And don't forget to take the time to look back and see how far you progressed. I really have to force myself to do this, because it is hard not to see the imperfections, but putting on a pair of pink glasses and rewarding yourself is really worthwhile from time to time.
