Positivity week: learn something new
Learning something new is super rewarding. The good part is that there is always something to learn and new things to explore. Learning builds your confidence and it can be a way of connecting to new people. Learning sparks creativity, because with your new knowledge, you’ll be able to make new connections you couldn’t make before.
It can be simple stuff you always wanted to find out. It can be a new language. A new dish or a new herb you’re trying to mix up your eating routine. A new instrument or hobby. A new programming language.
A couple of things you can do without spending any money:
- Get started with a new language on duolingo
- Follow a free course on Coursera
- Learn to code using codeacademy
- Work on your math (and a million other things) using Khan Academy
- Listen to a podcast or iTunes U show about a topic you’re completely unfamiliar with
- Take one of the free MIT open classes
