Positivity week: do kind things
We know that we're happy when someone gives a small gift, a genuine compliment or cooks you a really nice dinner: something you didn’t expect. But there is a lot of power in initiating these things yourself too. Spending some time thinking about the nice and kind things you can do (they don’t have to be expensive or cost any money at all) and actually doing some of them can give new energy and a lot of positivity.
Some ideas:
- Keep an eye out for people who need a hand with something
- Think about ways to compliment someone you see today
- Volunteer first and quickly to do something someone asks for
- Give away a good book you own to a friend
