Simplicity
You're not reading my post by email, but I've changed my email template and made it much simpler. If you want to try it, you can sign up here. It is basically a plain text version of what you see here.
Simplicity is something that can be applied to almost anything, and is actually really hard to achieve. It requires revisiting things you’re currently doing to keep digging for what is the absolute essence of what you’re trying to accomplish. This goes for your products, your goals, the processes you have in place, your habits, your home, basically everything.
To end with the master of simplicity, Jony Ive:
Simplicity is not the absence of clutter, that's a consequence of simplicity. Simplicity is somehow essentially describing the purpose and place of an object and product. The absence of clutter is just a clutter-free product. That's not simple.
