Don’t just focus on your own effectiveness
The daily posts are focussed on you, because you have the power to change yourself. It is much harder, if not impossible, to change others. I really believe you should start there and keep returning you yourself, if we’re talking about improvement.
Today’s post is a call to invest some of your precious time to teach what you learned to someone around you. You could set up a meeting around lunch to talk about how you’re being productive, for example. One of the things I’ve been doing the past weeks is spending significant time of my one on ones reviewing how everyone in my team is working to see how we can learn from each other. This is time well spent, because when your team gets more effective, you get more effective too.
So if you're planning your next week, why don't you set apart some time to help others around you learn some things about getting more productive and effective?
