The two minute rule
Itβs Friday again. The best day for your weekly review to properly close off your work, prepare for the next week and get ready for a weekend to relax and invest in yourself.
One of the things I use while doing this review is the two minute rule. Introduced by David Allen, who says that every task you can complete within two minutes you should do immediately. The reasoning is that it is way more efficient to do it right away than to schedule and pick it up later.
Examples of this are to send out reminder emails to people, processing changes in documents or proposals, making a quick proposal, sending a quick note of feedback, stuff like that.
Use it today to get lots of small things done.
