Small things matter
We stayed in a hotel recently and we did not have a great experience. I expected them to ask about our stay when we checked out but they didn’t. A small gesture in the form of a question about our sleepover could have made up for the crappy bed and noise from the other rooms. When we arrived, instead of just pointing us to our room, they could have walked with us and asked how our trip was.
