Since we got married, we have been experimenting with our personal finances. One of the things we’ve learned is that I find it hard not to compare personal spendings between my wife and mine. That’s why we introduced pocket money. We have one shared bankaccount, but we still have our own accounts too. At the beginning of each month, a small amount of money is transferred to each of our own accounts.

We can spend this money on anything we like for our own. Bonus: because I can’t see her transactions and she can’t see mine we are able to buy gifts for each other in secret again!
