The past week, Joàn (my wife) had been 100% focussed on getting her final assignment for her education in. At the beginning of this week she felt like on top of that, she had to do everything around the house (cleaning, cooking and washing) too. I’m a big sucker for actually noticing this stuff (watch this short clip, this is mostly how it works for me too).
Together, we dove into the topic to figure out what I could change to make this week a bit better for her. Taking the time to list a couple of concrete changes really made the difference this week.
Asking myself the question: what can I do differently to prevent this situation from happening again takes the “anger” out of the situation and forces you to focus on possible solutions.
